Mr. Max

I can't believe that he is already 9 months old!!! It really seems like we were just bringing him home. I guess the crazy thing is that he is only as old as the time I was pregnant with him. He is so BIG!!! I guess we already knew that but he is mostly into 18 months for clothes. What a chunk.

Major updates with him include 2 teeth!
He got the first one a week and a half ago and the second one poked through on Sunday morning. He makes such funny faces since he isn't used to them being in his mouth. Somtimes you just have to put on goofy/embarassing pics!
The other major news is that he has started WALKING!!! On the 19th he took his first step. He has NO fear. He lets go of things all the time. He can take between 5 and 8 good steps. He does more but by the end his is so excited to get where he is going that he ends up lunging. I don't have any good pictures of him walking yet since it is hard to take a picture myself when it is just us two. I tried to have Sandy do it this weekend but the pictures were either of just feet or heads or nothing. Oops!

When it was raining the other day, we painted "muddy" footprints with the daycare kids. The "mud" was actually chocolate pudding so I had Max and my 13 month old do it too. He had a blast, especially after he discovered what it tasted like!

He loves being outside. The first
time he was in the grass with shorts
on he didn't like it so much. Now he
loves it and likes to pick the grass.
I'll put on more pics later. My nights are free now that the house is ready and Don is gone all week.

Moving...yes!

Okay, our internet is finally working and I am going to do this. As all of you already probably know...we are moving!!! Boo to actually having to move everything, but yippee to the fact that we are moving closer to home. Don started on Monday at the Baraboo Menards so we will be looking for a place either in Baraboo or Reedsburg. We really need to be close to the store because he has issues with leaving early/on time and now when he opens, he gets fined $60 a minute if he is late. Ouch! However, Baraboo seems to be quite pricey so we will see what happens.
This also means that we have to put our house up for sale. We were in the middle of finishing our basement so now it has become a full out rush to get it done. Don and I will pretty much be living down there this weekend to finish it so we can list the house on Monday. On a positive note, 3 houses are for sale in our neighborhood that are listed for 184,900 to 210,000 which is more than we were planning to list for. So hopefully, we will sell quickly since we can't buy a house without selling this one. Which I am very sad about leaving because I love our house so much!
Which brings me to another sad note...telling the daycare kids I watch that we are moving. One family I was fine with because the kids are absolute terrors!!!! The other two I will really miss. The one little girl is so cute and so easy to take care of. The other two are also great kids. On a positive note, their mom wants me to keep watching them as long as I can. The come Wed., Thurs., and every other Fri. so I can still make some money, but be able to pack and do other moving stuff also.
This brings me to another point. Before we knew we were moving, we purchased a vehicle. Sadly, I now am a mom who drives a mini-van. It was kind of depressing since I am only 26, but I can live with it. This is only because of how crappy my car was, how much shit I can fit in the van, that it has a DVD player, power sliding doors and trunk, and all the normal power options and CD player that my car didn't ever have. Plus the best part about it....it has a BUMPER!!! Such exciting things, I know.
I need to go to be now...5 comes way too early for a slacker like me!

Update

Here are some new pics of Max. He is getting so BIG!! We went to the Dr. yesterday and he is in the 97% for weight and length and off the chart for his head size. He also has to start using his big boy car seat. How sad yet exciting.

Daddy put his hat on backwards so he would look tough....didn't really work.

We took him outside on his new sled after we finally got some snow. He wasn't sure what to make of it at first, but then he seemed to really like it.

He absolutely loves sitting in the laundry basket. He just sits and plays with the holes or looks around. He doesn't even need toys! How exciting.

He is a total ham for the camera now. He smiles so easily. Gotta go! He wants to type and it is getting to hard. See you this weekend if you will be home!

Congratulations!!!!

First of all I would like to congratulate Beth and Nate on becoming parents of a beautiful baby! Sawyer is sooooo cute! Thank you to his two wonderful aunts, Amy and Meg, for posting pictures of him so we can see. I would have to agree with everyone else that he looks like Nate. (Beth-what the heck? Can't our kids look like us?) I would also like to congratulate Beth on having him naturally...very impressed since he was so big! However, I am also very jealous that you got to have an epidural...pain meds are God's gift to women in labor.

I am sorry that I have been such a horrible blogger, even worse than normal for me. I have actually been doing something with my life though. I was approved last Friday for starting a daycare at my house. I got all the paperwork done, all the classes taken, and passed the home inspection. I was up until 2 am on Wed and Thurs cleaning since I also had to work both nights. But it all got done and now I just have to find some kids to watch that won't drive me crazy.
Also, we had some problems with our camera again. We lost the pictures that were taken from the Monday after his baptism in October through the last time I came home in the middle of November. I was very upset and pissed beyond belief. It turned out to be the memory card. So yesterday we took it to a camera place and they recovered some of the pictures, but they could not get the ones from the last time I was home. So I am happy about the others, but still kind of sad. I know there were some really good ones that were lost. Moral of the story...as soon as you can put your pictures on your computer, don't wait until the card is full!

Max update-
He went to the doctor yesterday. He now weighs 18 lbs 11 oz.-97%, is in the 95% for height, and his head is unfortunately in the 100%. Don says it is because he has a big brain. Good news is that he is proportionate and doing everything he should be. He has also figured out how to go backwards when he is on his tummy. He tries so hard to go forward and gets pissed. I am excited that he is doing all this, but I kind of want my little immobile baby back. He has also started to explore the wonderful world of food. He is hard-core into rice cereal. He says it has a lot of flavor. To me it looks like colorless cat puke. Yummy!!! Today we are going to try sweet potatoes. The doctor told us to do veggies before fruits. I am very upset by this because I personally like baby food fruits. I know, it is for Max to eat not me.

From his baptism

He was a puppy dog for Halloween. However, he did not want to have is picture taken with the pumpkin. He just wanted to try and chew on the ears of his costume. Too cute!!

He ate cereal for the first time on Thanksgiving. We got him naked so it wouldn't be such a mess to clean up. He did a really good job though, and we could have kept him dressed. Now he mows down the stuff like the little piggie that he is.

Gotta go...he is waking up from his nap!

Travis said so...

How sad is it that even Travis is telling me I have to update my blog. Although he has yet to update Jeny's....hmmmm..... First thing, just a reminder that Don, Max and I will be in Hillsboro Sat. and Sun. Max will be getting baptized on Sunday around 10:15-10:30 if anyone wants to come or just come for food at my parents after:). Other than that nothing exciting is going on at all. So I will just put up some pics of Max. He is huge by the way! I think he has to be at least 16 pounds if not more. But I am actually getting muscles in my arms for the first time since high school. YEAH!!
